Job summary

NMC2 is looking for a Network Security Engineer to design and maintain network security infrastructure. This technical role involves building controls and automation for protecting the organization's HPC and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in network security engineering, along with expertise in firewalls, cloud security, and scripting for automation. Strong communication skills are necessary for presenting technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, with hands-on experience across trusted, untrusted, and DMZ environments.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and the OSI model, with practical experience in TCP/UDP-based applications.
• Experience securing both on-premises and cloud network environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network security architecture including firewalls and related controls.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for network security technologies.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and IT operations teams to ensure security controls are integrated.
