Network Security Engineer

Employment Type: Contract-to-hire

Overview: We are seeking a Network Security Engineer with deep expertise in firewall technologies and strong exposure to cloud network security. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing security policies across hybrid environments, ensuring robust protection for both on‑prem and multi‑cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain on‑prem firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco) and related security infrastructure.
• Implement and manage security policies, including virtual firewalls, across diverse environments.
• Oversee security orchestration tools to manage firewalls and security policies in hybrid setups.
• Manage security operations and views in Azure and AWS within a multi‑cloud environment.
• Utilize Prisma Cloud for cloud security posture management and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure security best practices and compliance standards.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents using tools such as Sentinel, Cisco Cloud Access, and Cortex Cloud.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls in on‑prem environments.
• Solid understanding of cloud network security concepts and tools (Azure, AWS).
• Experience configuring and managing virtual firewalls and security policies.
• Familiarity with security orchestration platforms and multi‑cloud security operations.
• Working knowledge of Prisma Cloud, Sentinel, Cisco Cloud Access, and Cortex Cloud.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in complex network environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Cisco CCNP Security, or AWS/Azure Security certifications.
