Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector seeks a Senior Security Engineer to support networking, security operations, compliance, and system integration across Linux and Windows environments in Chantilly, VA. This onsite role requires experience with virtualization, incident response, and multi-layer security tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ≥5 years in security operations of virtualization, Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with on-premise, cloud and hybrid-cloud deployments.
• U.S. citizenship and active federal security clearance (Top Secret/SCI with polygraph).
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux-based operating systems and virtualization platforms (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, VMware, KVM, QEMU/KVM, Hyper-V).
• Support Windows server and workstation environments across enterprise deployments.
• Provide multi-platform support for OEM appliances and VMware-based virtual appliances.
• Mentor junior team members on installation procedures, security-focused administration.
• Install, configure, operate, and maintain security tools (Trellix, SentinelOne, Nessus, Splunk).
• Deliver Tier 1–3 technical support and coordinate with Tier 2 teams.
