Job summary

Highnote in San Francisco is hiring a senior network and processing operator to own the health of our direct and gateway connections across issuing and acquiring networks. You will manage BIN and ICA provisioning, network certification, settlement and reconciliation, and partner with sponsor banks and card networks.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in payments with direct processor experience, strong network relationships, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to lead across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in payments or card processing.
• Direct experience owning network operations at a processor.
• Experience with issuing and acquiring, PayFac ops.
• Deep knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, Discover networks.
• Detail-oriented with BIN/ICA setup and settlement.
• Strong communication across engineering, finance, and networks.
• Able to lead cross-functional projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Own the health of direct and gateway network connections across issuing and acquiring; lead migrations, timelines, and reporting.
• Manage BIN/ICA provisioning, sponsorship IDs, and resolve BIN blocks with networks/banks.
• Run network certification for new connections and program types across networks and rails.
• Ensure network releases and compliance; monitor and resolve non-compliance with networks/banks.
• Understand settlement schedules and value dates; coordinate with finance for correct reconciliation.
• Investigate processing exceptions, reversals, holds, and disputes; drive fixes with networks/teams.
• Understand network fees and interchange; support pricing strategy for subscribers.
• Be a trusted senior contact for networks and sponsor banks; translate between parties.
