Job summary

X Energy, LLC in Rockville, MD is seeking a DevSecOps-focused professional to design, deploy, and secure hybrid/edge network and virtual infrastructure for multi-tenant enterprise environments. The role covers integration, automation, and secure operations across on-premises and cloud services.

You will implement scalable, resilient network solutions, align to security standards, and manage lifecycle delivery for critical manufacturing and engineering platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer information management, or High School Diploma with a minimum four year work experience in Information Technology field.
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise network and virtual infrastructure engineering and management experience of multi-site, hybrid on-premises and Cloud Service Provider compute and storage environments.
• Strong experience with building configurations, deployment, troubleshooting and secure management of enterprise grade Routers, Firewalls, Switches, VPNs, WAPs, Site-to-Site IPSec Tunnels, CSP network security and IP address management, as well as SD-WAN from CSP offerings.
• Experience with on-premises virtual hypervisors and platform infrastructure for scale, high availability and recovery.
• Experience integrating network/virtual infrastructure with automated service delivery management systems.
• Experience building office and enterprise-grade network systems for on-premises IaaS, HPC and CSP environments.
• Familiarization with NIST 800-171/800-53 or CIS benchmark configurations.
• Knowledge of next-gen network Infrastructure/Platform/Software as-a-Service from CSPs.
• Expertise in enterprise scaling technologies and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Integrate network and storage management systems for Cloud CSPs and on-premises IaaS into full-lifecycle service platforms.
• Design and deploy hardened, compliant network infrastructure for multi-tenant, virtualized and HPC production environments.
• Develop and maintain security, availability, performance, and scalability monitoring for network and virtual infra.
• Lead full life-cycle development, test, and production management for business-critical applications and engineering needs.
• Research CSP deployment guides to develop secure, resilient network infrastructure for enterprise applications.
• Redesign network and virtualization infrastructure to improve security, scalability, and resiliency.
• Own project requirements, deployment, and operational release management.
• Maintain professional demeanor in all communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
