Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to oversee operations in global data centers. You will monitor and maintain data centers, networks and servers worldwide, engaging with data center Network Operations Centers via phone, email, and web portals.

Responsibilities include deploying and repairing servers, storage, routers and switches, installing hardware on-site and remotely, and coordinating data center deployments from hardware requests to rack design.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience in network/infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on hardware experience in a NOC environment.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware and networking equipment.
• Proven troubleshooting skills in large-scale data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploying and repairing servers, storage systems, routers, switches, and other hardware.
• Installing hardware, cabling, firmware, and software on-site and remotely.
• Managing hardware decommission projects including disposal and data destruction.
• Shipping and receiving networking equipment to maintain network availability and reliability.
• Performing data center migrations and hardware platform upgrades.
• Coordinating data center deployments from hardware requests to rack design.
