Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5 years of related experience in leadership roles required.
• Master's degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience with large enterprise LAN/WAN environments is preferred.
• Budgeting and large-project management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads network design, deployment, and management of LAN, WAN, and wireless.
• Oversees routers, switches, firewalls, and networking equipment configurations.
• Sets strategic direction for university information systems and services.
• Manages operating and capital budgets; leads SLAs and vendor contracts.
• Builds and mentors a high performing network team; conducts evaluations.
• Ensures security through firewalls, VPNs, and compliance with policies.
• Drives capacity planning, long-term strategy, and project planning.
• Provides on-call coverage and serves as escalation point for leadership.
• Represents the department with university officials and external partners.
