Job summary

World Wide Technology, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer III to support a government services DoD client. The role focuses on implementing zero trust principles, SD-WAN across numerous sites, and secure network infrastructure globally.

Responsibilities include configuring routing and switching, firewall architecture, and PKI management while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Remote work option may be available depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in network security or network engineering roles with a focus on Zero Trust, network security, SD-WAN
• Experience designing, implementing, and managing LAN/WAN and SD-WAN networks
• Knowledge of zero trust best practices, including firewalls and microsegmentation
• Deep understanding of routing & switching, multicast, and QoS
• Experience with public cloud networking and security in AWS/Azure/GCP
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Active Secret clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
• Experience with PKI and certificates

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, implementation, and maintenance of a highly distributed network aligning zero trust principles
• Design and implement SD-WAN architecture across dozens of sites at a global scale
• Configure, install, and manage routers, switches, firewalls; perform network upgrades and expansions
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation including diagrams and SOPs
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues related to performance, security, and connectivity
• Mentor junior network engineers and collaborate with security and systems teams
