Job summary

Reston Consulting Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Zero Trust to support a federal government customer in a fully remote role.

You will manage enterprise network infrastructure, cloud networking, and Zero Trust initiatives, ensuring availability, performance, and security. Candidates should have deep Cisco, Cloudflare, NAC, and cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), plus a Public Trust clearance eligibility and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 8 years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Experience administering enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, plus cloud networking.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the customer's Cloudflare environment and enterprise Zero Trust networking solutions.
• Administer core network infrastructure supporting mission-critical federal operations.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network security appliances.
• Perform firmware and software upgrades on Cisco ASA, routers, and switches per cybersecurity guidance.
• Utilize NAC solutions to manage and secure network access.
• Monitor enterprise network health and respond to performance issues.
• Manage network security groups, routing tables, and firewall policies across AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Administer VPCs, VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing tables, firewall policies in cloud environments.
• Support secure cloud connectivity and Zero Trust architecture initiatives.
• Block/unblock IPs per cybersecurity directives and monitor suspicious activity.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to suspicious network activity with cybersecurity teams.
