Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Senior Network Engineer to support HRSA projects, designing, implementing, and managing enterprise network infrastructure for high availability and security.

Responsibilities include configuring routers/switches/firewalls, implementing RSA Authentication Manager, and ensuring IPv4/IPv6 scalability across environments with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
8+ years' experience in network engineering.
Experience supporting federal or enterprise‑level IT environments.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Design, plan, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN, Zscaler, and network security infrastructure.
Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and remote access systems for secure operations.
Implement RSA SecurID / RSA Authentication Manager with VPNs, RADIUS, and authentication systems.
Design and troubleshoot IPv4/IPv6 architectures for scalable environments.
Provide innovative solutions using engineering design processes.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders on network projects.
Analyze business requirements to develop technical networking solutions.
Ensure network security and backup/recovery capabilities per policy.
Monitor performance with industry tools and resolve issues proactively.
Plan upgrades and technology refresh initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies to improve networking performance.
Coordinate procurement of network hardware/software and services.
Maintain network documentation and SOPs.
