Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure enterprise LAN/WAN environments in support of DTRA DSMS at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will lead cybersecurity compliance, O&M, and complex migrations with DoW standards, monitoring, and disaster recovery planning.

The role requires 10+ years of networking experience, active Secret clearance, and DoD certifications; VPN, routing protocols, and multi-vendor environments are core parts of daily work.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of networking engineering experience.
• Active Secret Clearance; Top Secret/SSBI eligibility requested.
• CCNP Enterprise and CCNP Collaboration or equivalent
• CompTIA Security+ (DoW 8570/8140 compliance) or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain multi-vendor routing/switching platforms (Cisco) and VPNs.
• Apply DoW STIG/SRG requirements and verify HBSS modules.
• Ensure 99.7% network uptime across critical enclaves; drive cybersecurity compliance.
• Design and execute enterprise network migrations, topology updates, and hardware refreshes.
• Monitor networks and coordinate LAN/WAN improvements and enhancements.
