Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Network Engineer Senior (Security) to support INSCOM missions at Fort Belvoir.

You’ll install, configure, and maintain secure network infrastructure and security stack for a global enterprise, solving complex networking problems. The role requires TS/SCI (ability to obtain Polygraph), 10+ years’ experience, and expertise with routing, switching, firewalls, and security devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience.
• Experience configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting security appliances in a multi-vendor federal enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of routing protocols in Next Generation Firewalls; familiarity with STIG/NIST standards and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain customer network infrastructure and security stack for a global enterprise.
• Troubleshoot networking and security protocols/technologies (switching, routing, firewall, VPN) to resolve problems.
• Analyze and implement ACLs, firewall policies, and other security controls in a multi-vendor stack.
• Provide expert-level (Tier 3) network security engineering support for INSCOM activities in the National Capital Area.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to solve enterprise IT problems from a holistic perspective.
