Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure professional to own and advance the mission-critical network and security operations on customer-site deployments in Livermore, CA. You will manage complex LAN/WAN infrastructures, ensure secure VPN connectivity, and uphold stringent security policies.

The role requires TS/SCI with CI polygraph, a BA/BS or equivalent, and active Cisco CCNP along with F5 certification.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 8-10+ years of related experience.
• Certifications: DoD 8570.01, Cisco CCNP (active) required.
• Certifications: Cisco CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, F5 certification.

Responsibilities

• Display a comprehensive understanding of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and VLANs, Spanning Tree, Multicast, etc.
• Hands-on experience with IPSec VPNs and Cisco IOS platforms in LAN/WAN environments.
• Utilize network diagnostic and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, Ansible, Python).
• Design, implement, and maintain complex LAN/WAN infrastructures with secure VPN connectivity.
• Ensure network security policy compliance (STIGS/NIST) and proper backup/recovery processes.
• Manage installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of F5 BIG-IP systems for performance and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
