Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to own complex LAN/WAN infrastructures, IPsec VPNs, and Cisco IOS platforms. You will manage F5 BIG-IP, ISE, and security compliance while mentoring teammates.

The role is on customer site in Livermore, CA with a competitive salary and benefits package. Candidates should have 8+ years of related experience, a active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph, and DoD 8570.01 / CCNP certifications.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 8-10+ years of related experience.
• Certifications: DoD 8570.01, Cisco CCNP (active) required.
• Certifications: Cisco CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, F5 certification.

Responsibilities

• Displays a comprehensive understanding of routing and switching protocols including OSPF, BGP and EIGRP, VLANs, Spanning Tree, Multicast.
• Hands-on with Cisco IOS platforms, networking topologies (LAN/WAN), and IPSec VPNs.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, Ansible, Python.
• Design, implement, and maintain complex LAN/WAN infrastructures with secure VPN connectivity.
• Ensure network integrity, compliance with security policies (STIGS/NIST).
• Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP systems for performance and security.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex performance and connectivity issues.
• Experience with Cisco Secure Firewalls (FTD/FMC), ISE, and 802.1x on switches.
• Evaluate and integrate new communications technologies to enhance performance and security.
• Create network diagrams using Microsoft Visio and document designs.
