Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Networking Resident Engineer to join our Service Delivery team in an on-site role in Alexandria, VA. You will support SRX, QFX, and EX platforms in an enterprise environment and serve as the customer's primary technical contact for deployments and operations.

This role requires Top Secret clearance and US citizenship, with travel under 20% and an emphasis on planning, testing, and implementing network solutions with Juniper products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is desirable, but not required or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Juniper and/or other vendor certifications a strong plus.
• Experience with Juniper products a plus, but not a requirement.
• Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support experience in a medium to large enterprise environment

Responsibilities

• Operations and maintenance of an enterprise network.
• Work with customer to consult and support major projects in aspects to changes of the customers’ network.
• Be assigned to client engineers to provide professional support in the installation of new networking deployments.
• Deep understanding of stateful firewall services, routing and switching technologies commonly implemented in enterprise networks including QoS.
• Juniper products to be supported: SRX, QFX, EX
