Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to provide post-sales support for network products in a remote/onsite hybrid setup. You will work with customers primarily from home or at customer locations, leveraging Juniper/HPE expertise to resolve complex network issues and lead testing efforts.

The role requires deep knowledge of IP routing, SDN, and hands-on experience with MX, QFX, EX platforms. Travel may be required for the right candidate, with relocation considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years' experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products in LAN, WAN, or Internet services environments.
• JNCIE/CCIE Service Provider or equivalent.
• JUNOS CLI experience across MX, QFX, EX series.
• Expert IP/Routing experience (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6, Routing Policy).
• Routing policy at BGP peering points.
• VPNs and tunneling technologies (MPLS, EVPN, L3VPN, VPLS).
• Ethernet switching and 802.1Q, QOS, SDN.

Responsibilities

• Understand the customer’s organizational structure and network implementation to design available and sustainable networks.
• Hold workshops to understand existing design and technical requirements.
• Test new tools and features in lab environments and develop live deployment plans.
• Test patches and fixes in pre-production and live networks per plan.
• Hold technology workshops to discuss equipment and network problems and progress.
• Support design and planning of Juniper MX, QFX, EX series within the customer’s network.
• Contribute to best-practice policies for Juniper/HPE products.
• Collaborate with peers to share lessons learned and reduce risk.
