Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network and firewall infrastructure. You will lead Network Engineers and Network Data Techs, plan maintenance, and develop standards to ensure stability and security across the TUHS environment.

The role requires 5 years of related experience, strong routing/switching and security skills, and on-site presence three days per week at Temple Health Women’s and Families

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.
• 5 years of enterprise network design/operation experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, SD-WAN, and wireless protocols.
• Experience configuring/troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers.
• Security best practices for enterprise networks; Cisco, Extreme, Palo Alto, Aruba proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs and industry best practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain network and firewall infrastructure for stability and security.
• Lead Network Engineers and Network Data Techs in daily activities and projects.
• Plan maintenance of network systems across TUHS and develop standards.
• Identify problems and opportunities for improvement; propose changes.
• Foster cooperation between junior team members and other work groups.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and 24x7 on-call services for network infrastructure.
