Job summary

SteelGate LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and sustain enterprise networks for U.S. Government IT environments. This role supports multiple locations, requires DoD security clearance, and hands-on work with Cisco routing/switching, wireless, and network management tools.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex outages, configuring IP networks, and coordinating with cybersecurity to enforce hardening standards and change-control processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressively responsible network administration, engineering, or enterprise infra experience.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain Cisco network equipment and related network-management technologies.
• Manage switches, routers, VLANs, IP addressing, and related network services.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity personnel to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain secure network configurations.
• Provide Tier III escalation support for complex network problems.
