Résumé du poste

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Network Engineer for Network Architecture & SDN to shape the brain of TeraWave's constellation. You will craft a dynamic, self-healing network spanning 5,408 satellites, with inter-satellite links and fast handoffs for ground users, all within power and latency budgets.

You’ll work with principal engineers on routing, telemetry, and resilience, bridging orbital mechanics and advanced communications to deliver reliable global connectivity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in network engineering, distributed systems or telecoms.
• Strong knowledge of BGP/IS-IS/OSPF and SRv6/SR-MPLS in complex networks.
• Experience with SDN controllers and programmable data planes (P4, OpenFlow).
• Understanding of high-speed switching and ASIC/FPGA forwarding.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement components of our hybrid space-ground transport network.
• Develop routing, topology management, and fast-reroute for time-varying LEOs.
• Create capacity models translating RF link data into network software.
• Implement SDN frameworks for centralized and distributed control planes.
• Develop real-time TE and policy enforcement for constrained payloads and backbones.
• Build programmable transport for new protocols and features.
• Develop observability stack with telemetry for packet-level visibility.
• Create self-healing network logic with real-time telemetry and SDN control.
• Correlate flow-level tracing with link performance to improve efficiency.
• Optimize packet forwarding for latency, throughput, and power constraints.
• Collaborate with RF and Silicon teams for mobility across beams.
• Mentor junior engineers on networking best practices.
