Job summary

MidFirst Bank is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate the enterprise network landscape. The role emphasizes Cisco and Fortinet technologies, including SD-WAN, SASE, and VXLAN, to sustain stability, scalability, and security across data centers, campuses, and remote sites.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in routing, switching, and modern networking architectures, with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco platforms (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR).
• Hands-on Fortinet experience (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
• Strong routing, switching, and security design skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, campuses, and remote locations.
• Engineer and support Cisco-based routing and switching environments (LAN/WAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Deploy and manage Fortinet security and network platforms, including firewalls and SD-WAN solutions.
• Lead and support initiatives involving SASE architectures, Zero Trust networking, and cloud connectivity.
• Design and implement VXLAN / EVPN-based network segmentation and data center fabrics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network performance and availability issues across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure and resilient connectivity.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement new networking technologies aligned to enterprise strategy.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Provide on-call support and participate in incident response as required
