Job summary

CU SoCal is seeking an IT Network Engineer to manage the organization’s SD-WAN, firewalls, and VPNs. The role includes handling escalated tickets, patching, and vulnerability remediation within a multi-site environment.

The position is based in Anaheim Hills, CA with a hybrid-remote schedule (1 day in-office, 4 days remote). Preferred candidates hold CCNA/Azure/AWS certs and a degree in CS/IT.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on complex multi-site networks with SD-WAN, dynamic routing, Layer 2 switching, and VoIP.
• Strong communication to balance ticketing and project work.
• Proactive in patching and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Configure and monitor SD-WAN devices, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and load balancers.
• Support on-prem and cloud network connectivity, including Azure/AWS.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and enforce CIS 1/2 baselines.
• Contribute to network architecture and documentation.
