The role requires deep Juniper/HPE product experience, strong IP routing, BGP, MPLS, SDN, and collaboration with JTAC and engineering teams to ensure robust network solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years' experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products in LAN, WAN, or Internet services environments.
• JNCIE/CCIE Service Provider or equivalent.
• JUNOS CLI experience across MX, QFX, EX series.
• Expert IP/Routing experience (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6, Routing Policy).
• Routing protocol operation, migration, and scaling mechanisms.
• Routing policies at BGP peering points.
• VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (MPLS, EVPN, L3VPN, VPLS).
• Ethernet switching and 802.1Q, QOS.
• Software-Defined Networking (SDN).

Responsibilities

• Understand the customer's organizational structure and familiarize with the customer's network design and support processes.
• Hold network information gathering workshops with the customer.
• Carry out testing of new tools, features, and functionality in a lab environment and develop implementation plans.
• Test patches and fixes to operating software in pre-production and live networks.
• Hold technology workshops to discuss equipment and network problems and provide status updates.
• Support design and planning of Juniper MX, QFX, EX series solutions.
• Define best practice policies for Juniper/HPE product applications.
• Peer with other Resident Engineers to share lessons learned and minimize risk.
• Develop secondary skills in other products in the HPE portfolio.
