Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) seeks an experienced Resident Engineer to deliver post-sales network support for Juniper/HPE products. You will work remotely or on-site with customers, troubleshooting, testing, and implementing solutions in service provider networks.

A Denver/Colorado area focus is preferred, with remote status and occasional travel considered for the right candidate. Ideal candidates have extensive IP routing expertise (OSPF/ISIS/BGP/MPLS), JUNOS, SDN understanding, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years' experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products in LAN, WAN, or Internet services environments.
• JNCIE/CCIE Service Provider or equivalent.
• JUNOS CLI experience across MX, QFX, EX series.
• Expert IP/Routing experience (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6, Routing Policy).
• Routing policy at BGP peering points.
• VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (MPLS, EVPN, L3VPN, VPLS).
• Ethernet switching and 802.1Q, QOS.
• Software-Defined Networking (SDN).

Responsibilities

• This is a full-time position that may require longer work hours or occasional on-call weekend support.
• This role includes providing post-sales support, design and planning of Juniper MX, QFX, EX series solutions.
• Conduct workshops and tests to design, implement and verify network designs.
• Collaborate with JTAC and engineering teams; communicate project status and risk.
• Develop secondary skills in other products within the HPE portfolio.
