Job summary

Inizio Partners is seeking a Specialist Level III – Senior Network Engineer for the CUNY Central Office engagement in New York on site. The role requires deep hands-on expertise across WAN/LAN, ONS, and campus network infrastructure.

You will manage incident response, deploy changes via ServiceNow, and help train local network staff while regularly traveling to campuses across NYC and Long Island. Must be able to work 9am–5pm EST with after-hours as needed and be legally authorized to work in

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on Senior Network Engineer experience.
• Experience with Cisco ONS, TAC, fiber cabling, onsite hardware swaps/installs.
• Proficiency in VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, DNS/DHCP, IPAM.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations across ONS, Catalyst, Nexus, ASR, Aironet and Meraki; LAN/WAN and cloud connections.
• Writing MOPs, submitting and implementing changes in ServiceNow.
• Incident response, ticket management, Cisco TAC and carrier coordination.
• Field replacement of failed ONS modules at CUNY sites.
• Training and knowledge transfer to CUNY network engineering/NOC staff.
