Job summary

Inizio Partners Corp is sourcing a Network Architect – Level III for the CUNY Central Office, onsite in New York, to standardize IP addressing and design robust campus-wide networks. You will lead multi-site initiatives, review Re-IP outcomes, and audit routing with emphasis on hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity and load balancing.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on experience, including leadership on large projects, and expertise in Cisco routing, IPAM, firewall/security, and DDI tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on Network Architect experience (expert routing and switching) including 2+ years in a leadership role on complex projects
• IP addressing/subnetting, Re-IP planning and migration, segmentation (VLANs, VRF Lite, SVIs)
• Cisco network configuration, EIGRP, spanning tree, VoIP with QoS, Wi-Fi, firewalls, NAC/802.1X
• DDI on Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
• Load balancing architecture (F5; L4/L7, SSL offload, GSLB, WAF)
• Hybrid/multi-cloud network design (Azure, AWS and/or GCP)
• Palo Alto firewalls; Aruba/Fortinet exposure a plus
• Complex multi-site environments strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess current IP schemes, routing, VLANs and dependencies (DHCP, DNS, firewalls, NAC, VPN, VoIP, IoT, etc.)
• Build Re-IP strategy, target-state design, cutover and rollback plans
• Audit campus and data center networks; deliver prioritized findings report
• Implement changes in change windows, validate, and provide post-change support
• Produce design documents and MOPs; knowledge transfer to CUNY network/NOC staff

Job description

Position: Network Architect – Level III (2 openings)

Client: CUNY Central Office, 395 Hudson Street, New York, NY (onsite)

Start: Around October 22, 2026

Duration: 1 year (12 months)

Hours: 8am–5pm EST (40 hrs/week), plus after hours/weekends as needed

Travel: Regular travel to CUNY campuses across the five NYC boroughs and Long Island

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US

Equipment: Consultant brings own Windows laptop

Project Overview:

CUNY is standardizing IP addressing across its 26 schools and central office. The architects will design and implement new IP schemes for campuses, review campuses that completed their own Re-IP, audit routing/switching designs, and support hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity and load balancing.
