Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and maintain large-scale enterprise and carrier networks in Salt Lake City, UT.

The role requires hands-on work with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless APs, along with strong skills in BGP/MPLS, QoS, and incident management. You will analyze PCAPs with Wireshark, monitor networks with Splunk/EMC SMARTS/HPNA, and coordinate with data center teams to ensure high availability.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and routing protocols.
Experience with large-scale enterprise/carrier networks and BGP/MPLS environments.
Proficient in analyzing network captures and troubleshooting complex issues.

Responsibilities

Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and wireless APs for enterprise networks.
Analyze Layer 3 private MPLS carrier networks and BGP peering to resolve outages.
Support CE routers, QoS policies, and WAN connectivity in private WANS.
Perform PCAP/Wireshark analyses to identify root causes and drive resolutions.
Monitor networks using Splunk, EMC SMARTS, HPNA, Netdisco and Aruba Mobility Master.
Collaborate with data center, engineering, and vendor teams to ensure 24x7 availability and fast incident response.
