Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Network Support & Automation Engineer to join our Salt Lake City team.

The role focuses on supporting, troubleshooting, and automating enterprise and carrier-grade networks, leveraging Python, Go, and automation tools to improve reliability and efficiency. The candidate will design automation for provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive incident resolution and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience supporting enterprise or service provider network environments.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting routing, switching, WAN, and MPLS environments.
Experience with packet capture and protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and support complex enterprise and carrier-grade network environments.
Analyze and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues across LAN, WAN, and Datacenter infrastructures.
Troubleshoot and configure network devices utilizing routing and switching protocols including: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, HSRP, STP, Multicast, VSS.
Analyze and troubleshoot private IP/MPLS carrier networks utilizing BGP peering.
Support sophisticated WAN architectures including CE routers, BGP policies, QoS configurations, and traffic engineering.
Develop automation pipelines and CI/CD workflows for network configurations and monitoring.
