Job summary

CHAOS Industries in Los Angeles is hiring a Network Administrator to own the design, implementation, and day-to-day operation of our network infrastructure across classified and unclassified environments.

This is a hands-on technical role at the core of our IT and security operations; you'll build, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure, monitor network performance and availability, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure our network remains

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in network administration or infrastructure operations.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure in production.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and SSL/TLS inspection.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware across LAN, WAN, and multi-domain environments.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; triage and resolve issues; document actions to closure.
• Design and implement network segmentation and routing architectures aligned with security requirements.
• Manage firewall rules, VPNs, ACLs, and SSL inspection in coordination with cybersecurity teams.
• Support incident response for outages; coordinate with ITS and security teams as needed.
• Maintain firmware updates, licensing, patching, and log integration with SIEM tools.
• Plan upgrades and migrations to support growing program requirements.
• Produce uptime metrics and executive summaries; support audits and inspections.
• Travel up to 10% CONUS for site deployments and engagements.
