Job summary

CHAOS Industries is hiring a Network Administrator to own design, implementation, and day-to-day operation of our network infrastructure across classified and unclassified environments. This hands-on role at the core of IT and security operations will build, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure, ensuring resilience and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 5–8 years in network administration/engineering with 2–3 years hands-on production experience.
• Experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infra (Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto/Fortinet).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, VLANs, DNS/DHCP and security architectures incl. proxies and SSL inspection.
• Experience with SIEM (Splunk/ArcSight) and network monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware across LAN/WAN and multi-domain environments.
• Monitor performance, diagnose issues, and document remediation actions to closure.
• Design network segmentation and routing architectures aligned with security requirements.
• Manage firewall rules, VPNs, ACLs, and SSL inspection in coordination with cybersecurity teams.
• Support incident response for network outages and coordinate with IT and security teams.
• Maintain firmware, licensing, patching, and log integration with SIEM tools.
• Collaborate with ISSMs/ISSOs to ensure alignment with classification requirements.
• Plan upgrades and migrations to support site requirements; produce uptime metrics.
• Travel up to 10% CONUS to support program site implementations.
