Job summary

CHAOS Industries in Los Angeles is hiring a Network Administrator to own the design, deployment, and day-to-day operation of our network infrastructure across multi-domain environments. This hands-on role sits at the core of IT and security operations—configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points to stay secure and online.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in network administration or infrastructure operations, with 2–3 years in production.
• Hands-on experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure (Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto/Fortinet).
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and SSL/TLS inspection.
• Experience with Wireshark/tcpdump for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SIEM platforms like Splunk or ArcSight.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points across LAN, WAN, and multi-domain environments.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; triage, diagnose, and resolve issues; document findings and remediation actions.
• Design and implement network segmentation, VLANs, and routing architectures that align with security requirements.
• Manage firewall rules, VPN configurations, ACLs, and network-layer inspection with cybersecurity teams.
• Support incident response for outages; coordinate with cybersecurity, program security, and IT teams.
