Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a senior network engineer for the Offutt AFB region. The role focuses on maintaining mission-critical enterprise networks, performing OS upgrades, applying STIGs, and triaging Tier I-III incidents. Strong security credentials and DoD-compliant certifications are required.

Responsibilities include change planning, firewall operations, NAC support, and data center fabric management. On-site work with potential after-hours tasks is required.

Qualifications

• Education and certifications required for DoD and network engineering roles.
• Experience with enterprise and datacenter networks and security hardening.

Responsibilities

• Author RFCs with plans and ASIs, schedule maintenance windows.
• Manage Tier I-III incidents and service requests in ServiceNow.
• Perform OS upgrades and security patches on Cisco IOS/IIS-XE/NX-OS devices.
• Audit STIGs and maintain compliance documentation and remediation tracking.
• Monitor network health with SolarWinds and triage issues.
