Job summary

MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Network Engineer to evaluate, install, and support complex network gear, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.

Duties include testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable connectivity for our enterprise environment at our San Diego location. The ideal candidate has BS/BA and 8+ years of experience, CCNP/CCDP certifications, and hands-on expertise with MPLS, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and VMware.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 8+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 4 years SME in networking, security, and systems infrastructure
• Industry certifications (CCNP/CCDP) required; Checkpoint CCSA preferred
• Experience with HIPAA, SOX, PCI compliance helpful

Responsibilities

• Install and support MPLS WAN and IPsec VPNs
• Contribute to network architecture and DNS/DHCP services
• Use diagnostic tools to monitor and troubleshoot large networks
• Document test results and coordinate with vendors on defects
• Lead in change management and on-call rotation
• Assist with security, networking, and system infrastructure initiatives
• Provide reports on network utilization and cost analysis
