Job summary

Claranet in Lisbon is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our internal team on a hybrid basis. You will manage data center networking, Huawei switching, and firewall security while coordinating with the client's ICT squad and delivering Azure networking solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in enterprise networks, hands-on Cisco ACI, Huawei, Palo Alto and Fortinet expertise, and fluency in Portuguese with good English. Hybrid workplace in Lisbon with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering/operations.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI.
• Solid experience with Huawei switching.
• Experience administering Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
• Experience with Azure Networking and Security services.
• Strong routing & switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP) and VPN technologies.
• Fluent Portuguese and good English (written and spoken).
• Interpersonal relationship and teamwork; Proactivity and analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Data Center Networking (Cisco ACI): operate, configure and troubleshoot fabrics.
• LAN/Campus Switching (Huawei): manage switching infrastructure and upgrades.
• Firewall & Network Security: administer Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls and policies.
• Azure Networking & Security: operate VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall and hybrid connectivity.
• Incident & Problem Management: act as L2/L3 escalation point for network incidents.
• Change Management: plan and document network changes following ITIL.
• Monitoring & Capacity: monitor health with Zabbix/Grafana and identify risks.
• Documentation: keep network diagrams and procedures up to date.
• Client Collaboration: work with client's ICT Squad on network/security projects.
