Job summary

Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to monitor and improve our communication systems and network technologies across a 24/7 operation. You will lead staff, coordinate with contractors, and ensure security and reliability of essential infrastructure.

The role emphasizes project leadership, system upgrades, and collaboration with IT teams while offering flexible work options and a PA residency requirement within six months of hire.

Qualifications

Nine (9) years of experience in communications systems/network technologies or
Five (5) years with a bachelor’s degree in IT/EE or related field; equivalent combo
CCNP Routing & Switching certification is highly desirable
Valid driver’s license required within six months of employment

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise internal staff and external contractors on projects and daily operations.
Monitor network systems performance, capacity, security, and upgrades to minimize downtime.
Act as Tier-3 lead for problem determination and implement corrective actions.
Provide technical input to project managers and ensure objectives and schedules are met.
