Job summary

San Diego County Credit Union is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy and support SDCCU’s global network across data centers, LAN, WAN, and branch environments. The role emphasizes security, automation, and proactive problem-solving in a hybrid on-site/remote setting.

The candidate should bring 6+ years in production networking, knowledge of Cisco/Check Point ecosystems, and experience with VM-based environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years’ production environment experience, SaaS or financial sector preferred.
• Deep expertise in network protocols, security, routing and switching.
• Experience with NX-OS, JunOS, Arista EOS or similar network OS.
• Familiarity with Check Point management platforms and firewall ecosystems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a structured way.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain routing, switching, and firewall infrastructure across datacenters, WANs, and VPNs.
• Collaborate with business units; lead network change requests within security policies.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability and security.
