Job summary

SkyePoint Decisions seeks a Network Engineer to support a Department of State client, managing foreign post networks, cloud integration, and hybrid deployments. The role emphasizes operations, design, and security across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Requires 10+ years of IT network engineering with CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, strong routing, switching, VPN, and cloud networking expertise. Hybrid schedule with ~3 days onsite in MD/VA; US citizenship and security clearance prerequisites apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a network engineering/computer engineering field and 10+ years IT network engineering and architecture experience; Masters and 8+ years may substitute.
• Expertise in scalable, secure enterprise network architectures including LAN/WAN/SD-WAN and cloud.
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certification requirement.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP) and VPN technologies.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid networks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain network, cloud infrastructure, and voice components across the enterprise.
• Monitor and tune networks to ensure performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot incidents in global operations and perform root cause analysis.
• Design, document, and implement network solutions to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on capacity and limits.
• Develop contingency plans for hardware failures and cloud disruptions.
