Job summary

Daiwa Capital Markets America Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure team in New York. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure, scalable network to support critical financial operations.

You will report to the Network Manager and collaborate across teams, supporting on-call rotations and leading networking/telephony projects. Hybrid work is offered with office three days weekly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in LAN/WAN/MAN in financial services.
• Experience with Cisco switches/routers (IOS XE, IOS XR, Nexus).
• 7+ years in routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, etc.).
• 5+ years VoIP in mixed TDM environments.
• Experience with VPNs, load balancers, NetScaler, remote access.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 support for the corporate network.
• Provide Level 2 and 3 support for IT teams.
• Support IPC turret systems.
• Design, deploy, maintain, and monitor network infrastructure (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless).
• Manage VPNs, load balancers, and secure remote access solutions.
• Configure and optimize firewalls for security and compliance.
• Monitor network performance with standard tools (SolarWinds).
• Collaborate with teams to integrate with Azure cloud.
• Develop and maintain network documentation.
