Job summary

Daiwa Capital Markets America Inc. seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a secure, scalable network supporting critical financial operations. You will lead 24x7 uptime efforts, configure core Cisco devices, manage VPNs and firewalls, and collaborate with Azure and data center teams.

The role requires deep expertise in routing, security, VoIP, and incident response, with a focus on reliable, compliant network services. Hybrid work expected, in-office days required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in LAN/WAN/MAN management in financial services.
• Experience with BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VPC.
• 7+ years Cisco ASA/FTD and Palo Alto.
• 5+ years VoIP in mixed TDM environments.
• Knowledge of VPNs, load balancers, NetScaler, and secure remote access.
• Data Center management; familiarity with wiring/cabling.
• Ability to work late for upgrades and maintenance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with telecom vendors.
• Experience with network security systems and enterprise monitoring.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 support to maintain uptime of the firm’s network.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for IT and IPC turret systems.
• Design, deploy, maintain, and monitor network infrastructure.
• Manage VPNs, load balancers (NetScaler), and secure remote access.
• Configure and optimize firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
• Monitor network performance using SolarWinds.
• Collaborate to integrate network solutions with Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and maintain network documentation.
• Lead networking and telephony projects; moves/adds/changes.
• Support Cisco Unified Communications and recording systems.
• Ongoing data center maintenance and inventory.
• Address security tasks/projects; on-call after hours.
