Job summary

Sienna Systems Corporation seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join the CBP ENAESS team in Ashburn, Virginia. Hybrid role with about 35% travel to data centers and field locations.

This senior technical seat focuses on Cisco ACI fabric, F5 load balancing, Firepower firewalls, NetScout and IXIA instrumentation, and DMZ architecture. You will own design decisions and lead migrations and colocation efforts.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to pass a CBP background investigation.
• 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 14 years without a degree.
• Production experience with Cisco ACI fabric.
• Production experience with Cisco routing, switching, and Firepower firewalls.
• Hands-on F5 LTM/GTM load balancing.
• Knowledge of DMZ architecture, circuit provisioning, and enterprise network security appliances.
• Willingness to travel ~35%.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, design, test, and implement network solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Own and extend the Cisco ACI fabric.
• Design, implement, and tune F5 load balancing.
• Lead colocation, data center migration, and equipment relocation.
• Develop design documentation and drive security reviews.
• Coordinate change requests and follow change management.
• Test networking hardware, software, configurations, and tools; remediate issues.
• Manage software/firmware upgrades and patching; automate where possible.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation support for outages and write-ups.
• Partner with security and operations on monitoring and traffic visibility.
