Job summary

Sienna Systems Corporation in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Network Engineer to join the CBP ENAESS team. The role encompasses data center Cisco ACI fabric, F5 load balancing, Firepower firewalls, and ongoing migration work in a large, instrumented environment.

Hybrid work out of Ashburn with approximately 35% travel, US citizenship and CBP background check required. Competitive salary with signing bonus and strong DHS program backing.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with ability to pass CBP background check.
• 5–7 years with degree or 10–11 years without degree.
• Production experience with Cisco routing and switching.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls, load balancers, DMZ architecture.
• Strong TCP/IP, routing and security principles.
• Ability to produce design documentation for peer and security review.
• Willingness to travel approximately 35%.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, design, test, and implement network solutions across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Work within and extend the Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure fabric.
• Implement and tune load balancing across F5 Local Traffic Manager and Global Traffic Manager.
• Support colocation implementation, data center migration, and equipment relocation activities.
• Develop and maintain design documentation — system design documents, topology diagrams, configurations.
• Coordinate change requests with stakeholders and follow change management procedures.
• Test networking hardware, software, configurations, and tools; remediate bugs and vulnerabilities.
• Provide escalation support for network and mission-critical application outages.
