Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to provide post-sales technical support for network products. You will work daily with customers, remotely or at their site, and leverage Juniper/HPE experience to resolve issues, certify configurations, and test new features.

The role may be based in San Francisco, CA or Denver, CO, with remote options and occasional travel for site visits. Strong routing, SDN, and lab testing skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or CS.
• 7 years in networking implementation and support (LAN/WAN/Internet).
• JNCIE/CCIE Service Provider or equivalent.
• JUNOS CLI experience on MX/QFX/EX series.
• Expert IP routing (OSPF/ISIS/BGP/MPLS-TE).
• MPLS, VPNs (EVPN/L3VPN/VPLS).
• BGP peering policies and routing decisions.
• Ethernet switching (802.1Q, QoS).
• SDN familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-sales technical support for customer networks.
• Design and workshop network solutions with customers.
• Test new tools/features in lab; plan live deployments.
• Validate patches in pre-prod and live networks per plan.
• Run technology workshops and deliver status updates.
• Support Juniper MX/QFX/EX deployments in customer networks.
• Develop secondary skills in other HPE products.
