Job summary

Forge Forward Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead design, integration, and sustainment of enterprise network and Linux infrastructure for mission-critical DoD environments.

The role requires strong Cisco/Juniper expertise, RHEL with SELinux, and proficiency in automation (Ansible, Python, Terraform). Prior DoD/STIG experience and leadership within an Agile team are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise IT or DoD environments.
• Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper routing and switching.
• Administration of RHEL platforms including SELinux and firewalld.
• Knowledge of DISA STIGs, RMF controls, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex cross-layer issues across network, OS, virtualization, compute, storage, and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, secure, and sustain enterprise network solutions.
• Administer and troubleshoot enterprise RHEL systems and related services.
• Develop automation for provisioning and compliance with Ansible, Bash, Python, or Terraform.
• Support virtualization and storage platforms including VMware vSphere and vCenter.
• Mentor engineers and lead architecture discussions in an Agile environment.
