Job summary

Axon in New York seeks a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our Global Operations team to design, deploy and support scalable networks powering our public safety platforms.

You will own cloud networking (AWS VPCs, Direct Connect, Route 53) and traditional routing (BGP/OSPF), implement security best practices, and contribute to infrastructure as code. This hybrid role requires 5+ years of hands-on network engineering and strong collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Cloud Networking with AWS (VPCs, Direct Connect, Route 53)
• Solid TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, VPNs
• Experience with Cisco and Fortinet equipment; SD-WAN a plus
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience
• Strong troubleshooting using logs, packet captures; monitoring tools like Datadog/PRTG a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain technical details

Responsibilities

• Lead network design, upgrades, expansions, and migrations
• Configure and maintain networking infrastructure and security best practices
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot to ensure uptime in live systems
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve network challenges
• Mentor and guide junior network engineers
