Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Network Engineer (Level 2) in Baltimore, MD to design, deploy, and sustain enterprise networking for Health Solutions government programs. The role emphasizes LAN/WAN and WLAN management, security baselines, and collaboration with field teams.

The candidate will configure routing, core switches, and NAC policies, pre-stage hardware, and perform Tier 3 troubleshooting. Expect 25%–50% travel and on-site work at local facilities.

Qualifications

• Clearance required: ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 5–8 years of network experience or Master’s with 3–5 years, or PhD with 0–2 years.
• CCNP or equivalent Cisco certification (e.g., CCNP Enterprise with Wireless) is required.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain LAN/WAN and WLAN infrastructure.
• Configure routing protocols and core switches.
• Stage and configure network hardware via templates and SOPs.
• Coordinate WLAN site surveys, AP installations, and controller deployments.
• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and after-hours support as needed.
• Update topology diagrams, guides, and standards.
• Track deployment schedules and report status to leadership and government customers.
• Travel domestically 25%–50% to customer sites and on-site facilities.
