Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Network Engineer (Level 2) in the Baltimore area to design, deploy, and sustain enterprise network architectures across multiple government-related projects. You will work on wired LAN/WAN, WLAN, and security baselines, using Cisco IOS/NX-OS platforms, with responsibilities spanning configuration, testing, and field collaboration.

Qualifications

• Public Trust clearance preferred or ability to obtain.
• BS/BA plus 5–8 years’ network engineering experience OR MS/MA plus 3–5 years OR PhD plus 0–2 years.
• CCNP or equivalent Cisco certification required (e.g., CCNP Enterprise with Wireless Specialist).
• 3+ years of hands-on routing & switching in multi-site networks (600+ locations).
• WLAN, VPNs, and enterprise security baseline knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain enterprise WLAN and wired LAN/WAN.
• Configure routing protocols and core switches.
• Stage and configure hardware using templates and SOPs.
• Coordinate WLAN surveys, AP deployments, and controller setups.
• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and after-hours support.
• Update network topology diagrams and guides.
• Track deployment schedules and deliver status metrics.
• Travel 25%–50% domestically and onsite at client facilities.
