Job summary
A government services provider in Maryland seeks an experienced Network Engineer to enhance and maintain a large-scale network project. The role involves designing and implementing both wired and wireless infrastructure, along with consultation for necessary hardware and software. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, extensive networking skills including RF site survey experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Qualifications
Strong documentation skills including updating JIRA Tickets and Network Diagrams.
Ability to communicate with end users and technical assistance center.
CWNA Certification or equivalent required.
BCNE Certification or equivalent preferred.
Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
Working knowledge of Agile/SCUM project management methodologies.
Responsibilities
Interface with governmental personnel and stakeholders.
Implement and manage a large scale network infrastructure.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and quality assurance.
Skills
Operate and manage NPS network infrastructure
Improve infrastructure monitoring and reporting capabilities
Develop, maintain and deliver infrastructure documentation
Review current best practices for network infrastructure
Wireless network health monitoring
Assess NPS network infrastructure
Define and conduct testing procedures
Implement technology solutions
Design guidance on network solutions
Knowledge transfer on network products
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline
Tools
RF site survey tools such as Ekahau
Wireshark packet capture software
