Job summary

University of Louisville is seeking a Senior Network Engineer IV to design, implement and manage complex campus and data center networks. You will lead high-impact projects, monitor performance, and ensure security and reliability across services used by faculty, staff and students.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and six years of related experience, with strong expertise in enterprise routing, switching, security and VoIP.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
Advanced knowledge of enterprise network architecture, routing, switching and related services.
Ability to lead technical work and coordinate changes across teams.

Responsibilities

Independently monitor and manage campus, data center and remote networks including routers and switches.
Design, implement and configure network services such as VoIP, cloud connectivity and wireless onboarding.
Diagnose outages and performance issues; coordinate remediation with internal teams and vendors.
Lead network projects, maintenance windows and post-implementation validation.
Develop network standards, diagrams and disaster recovery plans; document changes.
