Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage equipment comprising campus, data center and remote-site networks, including routers, switches, wireless access points, Internet and Internet2 connectivity.
• Design, implement and configure network services such as security, IP addressing, DNS and DHCP.
• Support administration of network-related applications and services (VoIP, cloud connectivity, guest access, wireless onboarding, monitoring, authentication and security controls).
• Diagnose and resolve outages, connectivity issues and performance problems; escalate and coordinate resolution with internal teams, vendors and service providers.
• Lead technical activities for network projects, upgrades and maintenance windows with implementation plans, risk mitigation and validation.
• We are a 24/7 operation; some work may occur outside normal hours; develop and maintain network standards and documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of networking technologies and industry practices through training, certifications and professional development.
