Job summary

isofy is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to configure and maintain client site networks and drive automation improvements that boost performance. You will work on the hardware layer of our network management platform and coordinate with firewalls, switches, access points, and other devices.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm, based at the North Charleston HQ (2145 N Center St, 29406) with opportunities for hybrid work after onboarding; occasional on-call duties may

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, AAA, Radius, CoA, etc.).
• Strong WLAN knowledge and industry-standard RF configurations
• Experience with network hardware and software including Cisco, Juniper, Meraki, Watchguard
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Prior weekend work is preferred

Responsibilities

• Own all network automation escalations for CoA, Radius, and SNMP.
• Own all wireless escalations, configuring wireless coverage based on industry best practices.
• Own all network topology escalations, including validating firewall policies, VLAN structures, and port configurations.
• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Perform regular network maintenance tasks including firmware upgrades and patch management.
• Respond to network incidents and outages promptly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network engineering.
• Collaborate with software engineering team on our custom network automation software, assisting with infrastructure hardware compatibility and configurations
