Job summary

isofy is seeking a knowledgeable Network Engineer to support the hardware layer of our network management platform. You will work from our North Charleston HQ with potential remote work after onboarding and engage with firewalls, switches, APs, and other infrastructure devices.

The role requires strong networking knowledge, hands-on responsibility, and collaboration with software teams to ensure secure, reliable connectivity for client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, AAA, Radius etc.).
• Experience with network hardware and software including Cisco, Juniper, Meraki, Watchguard etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide network help desk support via tickets and calls.
• Interact with third parties to resolve issues.
• Assist in design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects.
• Be part of a regular after-hours on-call rotation.
• Respond to incidents and outages, identifying root causes.
• Document configurations and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
• Research industry trends and emerging technologies in network engineering.
• Collaborate with software engineering team on network automation software.
